Moore Cove Falls is one of our favorite waterfall elopement locations for couples who want a little adventure without a strenuous hike. An easy, forested trail leads to a beautiful 50-foot waterfall that spills over a dramatic rock overhang. The trail is especially friendly for couples bringing children or guests, although a few sections can get muddy after rain.

From I-26 take NC hwy 64 E about 19 miles into Pisgah Forest. This will be the intersection of HWYs 64,280, and 276. HWY 276 is straight ahead at this intersection follow it a little over 6 miles to a paved pull off on the right. The parking is just before a bridge crossing the river that Looking Glass Falls is on and the trail head is marked by a large sign. The trail starts by crossing the river on a wooden bridge. Meet in parking lot and walk to the site as a group.
