Elopements are designed to center your experience first.
They allow the two of you to be fully present with each other — without the expectations, logistics, or pressure that can come with a larger guest list.
Through your photos and film, you’ll be able to beautifully share the story, scenery, and emotion with loved ones afterward — without asking them to travel or hike to a remote location.

If you plan to legally marry in North Carolina, you’ll need to obtain a marriage license from any NC Register of Deeds office prior to your ceremony.
After your ceremony, your officiant will handle the filing for you — so you won’t need to worry about additional paperwork.
Some couples choose to complete the legal portion in their home state and have a symbolic ceremony with us instead. In that case, no license is required here.

Mountain weather can be beautifully unpredictable — but we always plan with flexibility in mind.
We monitor forecasts closely and build in backup options from the start. Often, adjusting the time of day or shifting to a nearby location allows us to avoid passing storms while still keeping your vision intact.
If needed, we can also move indoors. Many couples choose to have a backup option at their lodging, or we can arrange access to a local inn or venue for a small additional fee.
In rare cases, if conditions are truly unsafe and all parties are available, rescheduling may be an option.
Our goal is simple: protect the experience without the stress.

Keeping your guest list small preserves the intimacy and freedom that make elopements so meaningful.
From experience, we’ve found that 10 guests is a comfortable maximum for maintaining the relaxed, connected atmosphere we’re known for. Often, the fewer guests you have, the more fully you’re able to soak in the experience.
If you’re hosting your ceremony at a private venue — such as an Airbnb rental or personal property — we’re happy to discuss the possibility of a few additional guests. That said, we intentionally specialize in intimate elopements rather than micro-weddings, and we’re careful to keep the focus on a simple, connected experience rather than a large-scale event.

Of course!
We just take care in choosing a location that feels comfortable and accessible for everyone in your group. If any of your loved ones have health considerations or limited mobility, we’ll thoughtfully select a ceremony site that allows them to fully enjoy the experience.
If you’re dreaming of a mountaintop view that requires a hike, we can always hold the ceremony at an accessible location and then sneak away for portraits at “the spot” afterward.
That way, everyone feels included — and you still get the adventure.

To preserve the intimacy of your ceremony and ensure your photographer and videographer can capture everything beautifully, we host unplugged elopement experiences.
Guests are kindly asked to stay present and keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony and photo sessions. This allows you to exchange your vows without distractions — and ensures your final gallery and film remain timeless and free of screens in the background.
If your loved ones have traveled to be there, the greatest gift they can offer is their full presence in the moment.

If you’re inviting guests, we encourage you to clearly share what the day will involve.
Depending on your chosen location, there may be a scenic drive on mountain roads, a short walk or moderate hike, and natural elements like wind, sun, or changing weather. Comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate layers are essential.
We design beautiful experiences in nature, which means a sense of adventure is part of the magic. Guests should feel comfortable navigating uneven terrain and understand that outdoor environments are not as controlled as traditional venues.
As with any outdoor activity, each guest is responsible for their own safety and belongings.
Clear communication ahead of time ensures everyone arrives prepared and fully able to enjoy the experience with you.

Yes. Every package includes your full gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in a private online gallery.
From there, you can download your files, share with loved ones, and order professional prints directly if you’d like.

Yes! We offer custom designed heirloom albums, fine art prints, and archival wall pieces created to last for generations.
While your full gallery of digital images is included, there is something deeply meaningful about holding your story in your hands. Our albums are crafted with museum quality materials and thoughtfully designed in house to reflect the emotion and beauty of your day.
These are not just photo books. They are tangible keepsakes meant to live on your coffee table, your walls, and eventually in the hands of future family members.
Your elopement deserves more than a folder on a hard drive.

Most likely, yes and that is part of the magic.
Mountain overlooks, grassy fields, forest paths and rocky trails are all part of your story. A little dust on the hem or mud on the train simply means you fully embraced the adventure.
Your dress can always be professionally cleaned afterward. What matters most is that you were free to move, explore and soak in every moment together.

Our Elopement Coordinator, Meghan, is here to help you choose the experience that best fits your vision, guest count, and desired level of adventure.
We will talk through what matters most to you, whether that is a simple and intimate ceremony, a multi location adventure, or something in between. From there, we will guide you toward the package that feels aligned and seamless.
You do not have to figure it out alone. We are here to walk you through every step.

Our packages include travel to locations within one hour of Asheville. Longer distances may require a travel fee, which will always be discussed and approved by you before being added to your package.
Permit fees for National Park or Forest Service locations are not included. You will apply for the permit, and we will guide you through the process to make it simple and stress free.
Private venue rental costs, such as inns or Airbnb properties, are also separate from our package pricing.

Yes. We love when dogs are part of your day. Just let us know ahead of time so we can confirm that your chosen location allows dogs.
Dogs must remain on a leash at any public location. If you would like portraits of just the two of you, we recommend bringing a friend who can help care for your dog during those moments so you can fully relax and enjoy your photos.

We recommend arriving dressed and ready to begin your adventure whenever possible.
If you are eloping at a private venue, there is often a space available to get ready on site. For public outdoor locations, traditional changing rooms are rarely available, but that does not mean we cannot make it work beautifully.
Our assistants come prepared with discreet portable changing tents for privacy, and we can also use thoughtful, creative solutions such as your vehicle or a secluded natural spot. We have helped brides step into their gowns on mountaintops, in forest clearings, and beside scenic overlooks.
It may not be a traditional bridal suite, but it becomes part of the story. There is something unforgettable about lacing up boots beside your car or stepping into your dress with the Blue Ridge Mountains behind you.

Yes. Children are included in your total guest count.
We love when little ones are part of your day, but because we specialize in intimate elopements with a limited number of guests, every person attending helps shape the overall experience. If you are unsure how your guest list fits within our guidelines, we are happy to talk it through with you.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own officiant if you would like.
We work with trusted local officiants who know our flow and outdoor locations well, but if someone meaningful in your life is ordained and would like to lead your ceremony, we fully support that. We will simply coordinate with them in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly.

In order to protect the quality, flow, and cohesive experience we are known for, we do not allow outside photographers or videographers.
Our team works seamlessly together and is experienced specifically in outdoor elopements in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This ensures your day feels relaxed and intentional, and that your photos and film reflect the elevated, storytelling style you see throughout our work.

Our collections are thoughtfully designed to cover the full range of what most couples need for an incredible outdoor elopement experience.
You are welcome to enhance your package with add ons such as upgraded florals or extended ceremony film coverage. We also offer a few meaningful upgrades that allow you to tailor the experience without losing the simplicity and flow we are known for.
Rather than fully custom building from scratch, we have curated our packages to make planning easy and seamless while still giving you room to personalize what matters most.
If you are envisioning something specific, let us know. We are always happy to talk through your ideas and guide you toward the best fit.

Absolutely. Location scouting and guidance is one of the most valuable parts of what we do.
With over a decade of experience designing intimate elopements in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we know which locations offer privacy, stunning views, accessibility for guests if needed, and the best light at different times of year.
After learning more about your vision, guest count, season, and desired level of adventure, we curate location options that fit you. Whether that is a short scenic walk, a mountain overlook at sunset, a waterfall tucked into the forest, or a private venue experience, we guide you toward places that feel meaningful and aligned.
You do not have to figure it out on your own. We are your local experts and your planning partners every step of the way.

Yes. The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most beautiful and popular places to elope near Asheville.
Because it is managed by the National Park Service, a special use permit is required for wedding ceremonies on the Parkway. The application must be submitted in advance and approved before your elopement date. We guide you through this entire process and help you choose approved ceremony locations.
Each Parkway location has specific regulations, including guest limits, parking restrictions, and guidelines for decor. Most sites are best suited for couples only or very small groups. Larger guest counts are typically not permitted in Parkway overlooks.
We stay up to date on current rules and seasonal considerations so your ceremony is both stunning and compliant. If the Parkway is your dream setting, we will help you determine whether it is the right fit for your vision and guest count.

Most of our elopements are designed as standing ceremonies to preserve the natural setting and keep the experience simple and intimate.
If you are booking a private venue that provides seating, chairs can absolutely be incorporated. In some cases we can also explore rental options, depending on the location and accessibility. Any additional rental costs would be discussed and approved in advance.
