Bringing guests
A few things to know
Collections are priced for the couple. Up to 10 guests may be added for $50 per person.
Guests are welcome at the ceremony and for family photographs. The picnic and celebration included with Wildflower, Wildflower + Film and Evergreen are private experiences for the couple.
Our outdoor collections accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.
Choosing your date
Elope Outdoors is available Sunday through Friday. Saturdays are not available.
For public outdoor locations, we recommend Monday through Thursday whenever possible, when popular mountain locations tend to be quieter and more intimate.
Shaping your timeline
The coverage times listed above describe approximately how long your photography and, where included, film team spends with you on your elopement day. Planning and coordination happen before that time, too.
Your coordinator will help create a timeline around your collection, location, guest count and plans. Longer hikes or additional activities may require extra coverage, which can be added when needed.
Travel, locations and fees
Additional travel fees may apply depending on your chosen location and the vendors included in your collection.
Some locations also require permits, access fees or a separate venue rental.
We’ll explain any applicable fees before confirming your location.
Getting married outdoors
Weather is part of the experience. If conditions aren’t looking ideal, we’ll help you adjust the timing, location or plan when possible.
We recommend an unplugged ceremony so you and your guests can be fully present and phones don’t compete with your professional photographs.
Receiving your photographs and films
You’ll typically receive 150+ edited photographs. The final image count can vary if weather requires a shortened day. Your final photography gallery is typically delivered within 2–3 weeks.
Wedding films, including Evergreen’s 60-second vertical film, are typically delivered within 6–8 weeks.
The 5 instant keepsake photographs included with Evergreen go home with you on your wedding day.
Evergreen’s Luxury Heirloom Album should be ordered within 6 months of gallery delivery.
Reserving your date
A 50% retainer reserves your date. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your elopement.
Where can you get married? Do you need a permit? What time has the best light? What happens if it rains?
Even a small wedding comes with plenty of questions. You don’t have to work through them alone.
Our photographers, officiants, assistants and filmmakers work together regularly. We know these mountains, understand the flow of an Elope Outdoors day and share the same goal: helping you feel relaxed, supported and free to enjoy getting married.

You don’t have to piece together a wedding team.
Guidance before the day
Your coordinator helps you choose a location and plan around timing, permits and logistics. You’ll have someone to turn to as questions come up.
Support while you’re getting married
While your photographer focuses on capturing your day, your assistant delivers florals and celebration items, helps with dresses, guests and details, and keeps things moving so you aren’t coordinating your own wedding.

Our style is natural, colorful and true to the experience. You’ll have beautiful mountain portraits alongside the laughter, nerves, wind, happy tears and moments in between. We offer gentle guidance so you can feel comfortable without spending your day posing.

Your officiant helps create a ceremony that fits the two of you, whether that means simple and heartfelt or including your own vows, readings and meaningful traditions.

We’ve planned and photographed hundreds of elopements in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We understand how locations, seasons, weather and timing shape the experience. If something needs to change, you’ll have a team helping you work through it.
Our thoughtfully curated venue partners offer intimate, scenic backdrops for your elopement — whether you’re celebrating just the two of you or inviting a small circle of loved ones.
Each venue provides privacy, natural beauty, and space to fully immerse yourselves in the moment.
Venue rental fees are separate and typically range from $400–$750, depending on the location and specific property.
Please note: Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been approved by the venue.
