Places to Elope | Shana & Matthew

Shana and Brad had been together for almost a year and a half when they decided together that they wanted to elope in the Asheville area. Shana used to live here and she said that she really loves the area and finds it romantic! They used to have a vacation home near Lake Lure so they decided on this beautiful lake location looking out to Chimney Rock for their elopement. What a gorgeous place to elope!!

These two were a dream to work with! Michael, their officiant, and I had the best time with them! They were the ultimate laid back elopement couple. My favorite images throughout the ceremony are the images where they are looking at each other. You can truly tell how in love these two are! Their smiles say it all!

After the ceremony, they had a nice toast and some cake by the lake. It was so simple yet sweet. Later, we got some beautiful mountain sunset photos! The lighting in the trees was a dream for me! The colors in these photographs make me so happy! I loved absolutely everything about their elopement! I had never photographed in this area before but I hope to come back here soon to photograph an outdoor elopement!
