Glassmine Falls Overlook and Craggy Pinnacle Elopement

You know you’ve found “The One” when you find someone you can’t do life without. They’re the first person you turn to in hard times and the first person you call with great news. They’re the one you love sharing adventures with and the one you would pick up a new hobby for – just because you want to spend more time with them.

Emily and John definitely have that. This awesome couple loves trying new things and dabbling in different activities together. An adventure-filled mountainside elopement fit their style perfectly. Together, they love to travel, hike, and run their antique business. Emily loves hunting for vintage treasures and decorating in addition to running an occasional half marathon and shooting some amateur (but beautiful!) photography. Meanwhile, John loves to be outdoors whether that is hiking or building on off-road course while jamming to some 80’s music. He especially loves the 80s rock band Europe, and his ringtone has been “The Final Countdown” for a while now (which was kind of fitting as they got closer to their elopement date).

John is From Canada and they left after their elopement to head to Toronto and Banff. We talked a lot about Banff, and I am totally pumped to take a trip there now. It sounds amazing! I will have to get the scoop on their honeymoon adventures when they get back!

They kept things very intimate for their elopement with just their parents. Emily’s mom made her bouquet and floral crown. They were both just stunning. I loved the bright pink colors against our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! Glassmine Overlook is a great option when you have guests who are not able to hike very far. Then, after their vows, just the three of us headed down the road to Craggy Dome to hike and take lots of pretty photos! What a gorgeous day for such an amazing elopement – congratulations Emily and John!
