Cloudy Mountain Elopement Photographer | Sarah and Scott

Amy did it again! She pulled off another stunning elopement session, this time for Sarah and Scott. These two are just too cute. Scrolling through their session I could feel the love and excitement fill the air and my heart. I think that’s one of the reasons I adore photography so incredibly much. It allows us to feel things, experience things, even though we weren’t there. When it’s done in such a creative way as Amy does, it evokes in us emotions and feelings that bind us to places and people.

Cloudy With a Chance of Romance

The day Amy met Sarah and Scott for their mountain-top elopement was cloudy, making the sky a moody shade of gray. It was perfect for their evening elopement. I love how not only the mountain side, but the sky makes an ever-changing backdrop, perfectly unique to the day and time each couple we work with. The sky on this particular evening wasn’t an angry and stormy gray. Instead, it cast a romantic haze on the entire affair, enveloping them all in the love that brought them there in the first place.

Elopements bring out the best in me creatively, since they mimic my personal beliefs. Life does not have to be packed full of drama, deadlines, to do lists and stress. It can be a simple evening, on the top of a mountain, with the one you love. Life can mean jumping head first into a beautiful journey, not looking back. Love can be whatever you want it to be, and for Sarah and Scott, love means adventure, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
