Asheville Elopement Photographer | Roy & Dillon
With friends and family standing close by, Dillon and Roy tied the knot at Black Balsam. The day was perfect for an outdoor elopement. It was slightly overcast which created a beautiful soft light. The trees and grass were bright green from the rain we had the night before. The couple looked absolutely gorgeous standing on top of the mountain. After saying their “I do’s,” Dillon put on a leather jacket! We thought it went perfectly with her wedding dress. We loved how they made their ceremony exactly what they wanted. They even brought their dog!
about this sweet couple
When asked how they met and how they got engaged, they said they met while working at a summer job together before college. They had been together for six years and one morning Roy surprised Dillon with breakfast in bed. He then gave her an amazing sustainable raw diamond engagement ring! They said they didn’t want to stress over planning anything big because they don’t like to be the center of attention. Dillon says, “We’ve always wanted an outdoor wedding and fell in love with photos of weddings overlooking the mountains. When we saw the Elope Outdoors website, we knew we wanted our photos to have the same soft, yet dramatic, look to them.”
Their no-stress, outdoor elopement was the perfect way for them to become husband and wife. Julia did a fantastic job officiating and Flourish Flower Farm made incredible floral pieces for Dillon and Roy.
Congratulations to Dillon and Roy! Thank you for choosing us to photograph your special day!
