Asheville Elopement Photographer | Micah & Eduardo

As you may know from my previous posts, I absolutely love photographing at Blue Ridge Parkway for it’s gorgeous views, easy accessibility, and scenic diversity. Micah says, “Asheville is so close and would be a perfect weekend getaway to elope. Also, as avid hikers and lovers of anything outdoors, a simple wedding in the mountains of North Carolina is a dream come true.” These are just a few of the reasons that Micah and Eduardo decided to host their family elopement here. Watching and photographing the coming together of two cultures, especially on the mountaintop, was truly breathtaking. Eduardo’s family speaks no English, and Eduardo himself is still learning as well.

So how did these two meet?! Micah says, “[Eduardo] and I met 4 years ago in Chile. When we first met, we shared no spoken language but inevitably fell in love. When I came back to the United States to start university, we decided to stay together doing long distance. We have been traveling back and forth ever since. Just last week his fiancé visa was approved and we were finally able to start planning a future together.” These two have such an incredible story. The strength it takes to be countries apart from the person you love is undeniably amazing!

After the ceremony Amy took the couple up to Craggy for more photos. Niki from Flourish Flower Farm made Micah’s gorgeous bouquet and, as always, did a beautiful job.
