I am not sure if there can be a perfect time to elope in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Asheville, but October is probably pretty close! I loved working with Annie and Tyler for their intimate mountaintop elopement ceremony.
The location was off the Craggy Gardens Trail off the Blue Ridge Parkway. In the spring and summer this area is filled with huge blooming rhododendron and wild blueberries, but year round it offers fantastic summit views. A grassy meadow surrounded by a forest of gnarly trees, tall grasses, rocky areas makes this a perfect spot for an elopement.
The couple had a beautiful evening ceremony in late October. The weather was a little cooler as the sun was setting, and the mountain winds were a little brisk. I think it made for some amazing photographs of the winds in their hair, so wild and rustic! Luckily Annie brought her classic denim jacket with her which looked amazing against the lace of her dress bodice and so absolutely perfect with her boots peeking out from under her flowing skirt!
These two were so cute and so in love! Amy, my associate photographer, had the best time with them doing shots climbing all on the rocks with the amazing views. Nick is always the perfect officiant for our couples too!
Annie and Tyler brought a picnic basket and a champagne toast up the trail to celebrate their new beginning together!
Annie left this glowing review of Elope Outdoors on Google for us: “This was such an easy way to get everything taken care of. Meghan was responsive throughout the planning and Amy & Nick were great on the day of the ceremony!”
Be still my heart! Amy fell in love with this couple as their Blue Ridge Mountain Autumn Elopement Photographer. What a beautiful day we had together!
