I met the fun pair of Christina and Chris when I did their engagement session back in February. They’re from Charlotte but knew they wanted to get married in the Asheville area. They booked their ceremony details through Asheville Elopements and I was happy to meet them at Graveyard Fields to witness and take photos of their intimate and joyful marriage ceremony as their Asheville, NC Outdoor Elopement Photographer. We chose a beautiful spot at the lower falls for their ceremony location. This area is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and involves a hike to get back to the ceremony location.
Chris and Christina were not only well prepared to be joined as one, but were also well prepared for their hike! I love that Christina wore hiking boots with her beautiful white dress. Practical and fun choice – one that well fits her beaming smile and personality! I love the monogram on Chris’ sleeves. And that both of them were able to hike up to their ceremony site in such dapper outfits and still look that good after a hike! I wish we all had that ability to effortlessly look stunning even after hiking to a waterfall.
I love the carefree nature of elopements and the couples that choose to elope. Chris and Christina originally chose to have their wedding that afternoon. But decided to move up their ceremony to the morning instead as it was supposed to rain later that day. I was happy for this change in time, because it made it easier to get great shots of this couple as the light was perfect at the falls during their ceremony time. After they said their “I Dos” Christina and Chris celebrated with a festive swig from their red flask inconspicuously tucked away in Chris’ pocket. Their fun and carefree attitude made them a dream couple to work with!
What a fun couple! I had such a great time capturing their precious elopement. What a great day to be a Asheville, NC Outdoor Elopement Photographer!
