Winter Max Patch Elopement | Melissa and Jamie

Some love stories are written by famous authors and poets…. others are written by quirky older gentlemen with a coffee habit. Melissa was working at a bookstore inside a coffee shop when she found herself befriending a regular customer, an elderly man named Fred who liked to spend his time chatting up the baristas from his perch at the end of the counter. Matchmaker Fred had his eye on another regular customer, Jamie, who he had decided would be a perfect match for Melissa.

Their story

Fred wasn’t wrong! After several months and many medium cafe Mocha’s, interest was piqued and Jamie and Melissa went out for dinner once her shift was over. The rest, as they say, is history. Melissa and Jamie fell in love with each other, but after a visit to the mountains, they also fell in love with Asheville. During a visit in October, they spent their time driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway, taking in the gorgeous mountain ranges Jamie had visited when he was a kid. It was settled, and their mountain top elopement was planned for Max Patch.

Fred must have known his stuff because these two made the perfect couple as they said I do on amongst small snow drifts and a couple of close family members. Hand in hand, staring off into the serene wilderness, Jamie and Melissa were all smiles adorned with the perfect, simple accessories like her stunning winter bouquet and adorable earmuffs. Following the breathtaking ceremony, the couple finished up with a delicious vegetarian meal at one of Melissa’s favorite restaurants; Curate. A perfect ending to a perfect day, and the perfect beginning to a fantastic love story.
