Windy Fall Mountain Elopement | Amber & Marty

Mountainside elopements are certainly beautiful, but they are not for the faint of heart. Autumn already has a mind of its on as far as weather goes, but it is even more extreme and unpredictable up on the mountain. This amazing couple, however, was up for anything. They wanted an experience, and they got it! Take a look at these once-in-a-lifetime photos, and you’ll see that the risk was more than worth it. I was blown away by these stunning photos – literally!

About this magical day

It was a windy, early October morning up on the bald Max Patch mountain, but WOW, so gorgeous! If you can handle it, the wind adds such amazing energy to photos. Amber already has such lively facial expressions and a captivating smile, so the wind in her hair made it all the more breathtaking. Amber and Marty looked so elated, like they were floating on air. They were such a sweet couple to capture.

Amy took these awesome photos, and I just had to look through the images several times. I couldn’t help but giggle at these two and their sweet souls. It was easy to see that our amazing officiant Michael had loved conducting the ceremony, too. This joyful duo is sure to leave a trail of happiness wherever they go. It’s infectious! I love how they laughed so much and obviously made the best out of an overly windy day. Flourish Flower Farms did a great job of matching this couple’s vibrant personality with a simple yet bright and cheerful bouquet and complementary boutonniere for him – we loved the added creative flair of his colorful pocket square.

These are the types of couples we especially love to work with – laid back and flexible – because we never know what they weather may be like up on the North Carolina Blue Ridge mountains. Congrats, Amber and Marty!! May the wind always fill your sails on your many adventures together.
