Shayna & James Elope by a Waterfall ~ Asheville, NC

I met Shayna and James on a trip they planned to Asheville. They called me to take some engagement photos of them, and I took them onto the grounds of the Biltmore Estate.  As we were chatting and getting to know each other, I discovered they were coming up with ideas for their upcoming wedding. They didn’t want any fuss, they were leaning toward eloping. I told them about my Asheville elopement business, Asheville Adventure Weddings, and they seemed very excited at the idea! A couple months later I heard from them and we began coming up with ideas for their very own adventure wedding!

Shayna and James drove up from Raleigh with 3 friends, ready to elope off the Blue Ridge Parkway.  We chose to go with a location that included hiking, waterfalls and beautiful views. It is hard to go wrong in the autumn in Asheville, and I think we made an excellent choice in locations.  The couple and their friends took on the adventure and hiked down to the waterfall for the ceremony site.  We found a rock right in front of the waterfall perfect to hold the wedding ceremony.  Our fantastic officiant, Kyle, performed their unique custom ceremony while the 3 friends witnessed and I photographed the elopement. Shayna and James were full of laughter and smiles during their dream wedding!

After the ceremony, we hiked around the area and spent time taking fun and beautiful photographs of Shayna and James, as well as some with their friends.  It was a beautiful and perfect day to elope on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
