As the Romantic Asheville Elopement Photographer I had so much fun with these two. They are such an easy going and funny couple, and they are as beautiful as they are funny! These two are an absolute joy to be around. They’re the kind of people that you meet once, and they have you laughing so hard within 15 minutes that you feel like you’ve known them for years. Speaking of humor, that’s exactly where Megan and Alex met two years ago. They were both doing stand-up comedy in their home town of Melbourne, FL and started dating soon after.

Twas’ Love At First Joke

I love getting to know my clients a little bit better. When I asked Megan a little more about her and Alex she replied, “we have two beautiful dogs together. We love playing music and have a house together. Alex is a physicist at NASA and I am a student and a musician.” Their love of all things humorous, and musical brings their hearts and interests together. What an impressive couple!

They originally were going to have their ceremony here in Asheville, but due to the hurricane, we had to push back their session. They still wanted to keep their same date however, so they held their actual ceremony in Florida. As soon as the skies cleared up (and travel arrangements), they made their way here to Craggy Park to meet Amy to capture the images they so deeply wanted.

They played guitar to each other, cut the cake, shared a few kisses and popped champagne! It was so incredibly sweet and romantic watching them interact. Niki and Flourish Flower Farm provided the stunning bouquet and floral crown. They highlighted and accented their mountaintop “elopement” perfectly.
