North Carolina Mountain Elopement Photographer | Kimberly + Michael

Kimberly and Michael were married by our friend and officiant, Michael, on a bright but cloudy morning atop the gorgeous Black Balsam. Amy was lucky enough to work with these two as they joined their lives together in marriage. She shared a few words with me about their big day.

From Amy, “These two were an absolute joy to work with. Such apparent love and joy filled both their eyes and hearts as they stared at one another. You could feel the anticipation and excitement fill the air Michael sealed it with a kiss.”

They came from up north to elope in our beautiful southern mountains. I mean, who could blame them?! Have you every seen a more stunning backdrop? I sometimes forget how lucky we are to live in such a lush beautiful place.

We LOVE when couples elope for real (just the two of them). It adds such an intimate touch to their day. They did it right, hiring a videographer so that they could share their sweet moments and memories with their friends and family back home. I was in touch with Kimberly’s mom and she sent me a poem to have Michael read after the ceremony. To say it was touching would be the understatement of the century! There wasn’t a dry eye on the mountain top!”
