Julia & Blair’s Whimsical Mountaintop Elopement ~ Asheville, NC

I hadn’t yet  met Julia & Blair in person before we met on the wedding day in the parking lot off the Blue Ridge Parkway. When I saw Julia, I smiled big! I LOVED her whimsical dress, hair style, and of course the pink leg warmers and hiking boots.  Blair looked very dapper himself, with boots and bowtie. I was very excited for the photo opportunities we had ahead of us.

We hiked up with their parents and son, preparing for the mountaintop ceremony.  It was an soft, overcast and slightly windy day, which just added to the whimsical vibe of this Asheville elopement.   I felt so inspired photographing Julia & Blair, as we hiked around to different locations. My absolute favorite is when we took photos on the edge of the mountain, with the beautiful views and the wind blowing through Julia’s hair and flowy dress.  This parkway elopement was like a dream!

This elopement was featured in Borrowed and Blue, click here to see!  This is what Borrowed and Blue said about why this wedding “earned a blue ribbon”:

“Why This Wedding Earned a Blue Ribbon

The Champion Breeds

Boot-clad bunch. We love that mom, dad, and kiddo all sported their hiking boots on the big day.
Speaking of that kiddo, he’s as cute-as-a-button in his bowtie!
That pink dress is made for daydreams (and, as such, we’re gonna continue to daydream about it all afternoon).
Location. Location. Location. They say it’s key and, after seeing those blue mountain views of magic, we certainly have to agree.
And, can we just take one quick sec to talk about that bouquet? The ferns add some serious nature-inspired romance.
