Fall Mountain Elopement in Little Switzerland

“Not long after Phil proposed, we decided a large wedding wasn’t for us. We wanted our wedding to be a day to celebrate our love for one another and starting our lives together – truly together – just the two of us. I have several years of experience in the event planning industry and I currently own a small business designing wedding invitations, so it was quite tempting to get caught up in all the details of planning a wedding. However, we wanted something intimate, natural, and organic that truly reflected our personalities. We both share a deep love for mountains and nature, so an outdoor elopement was the ideal choice for us.

Phil has visited the Asheville area every year since he was a child and these mountains hold a special place in our hearts. We’ve driven by the Switzerland Inn many times and always admired the breathtaking views, so I wholeheartedly agreed when Phil suggested the Inn would be a great ceremony location.

From spending the morning together as he helped me make my bouquet, to holding hands while saying our vows- our day couldn’t have been more perfect. Without the distraction of a big wedding, we were able to focus on the thing that matters most: our love for each other. ”
