Craggy Gardens Mountaintop Elopement | Cat and Ralph | Asheville Elopement

Putting into words how beautiful and timeless this wedding was is close to impossible, but I’ll do my best to explain. Cat and Ralph’s love for another is so breathtakingly pure, and their family members were some of the nicest and most supportive people I’ve ever met. The vibe that day was so full of positivity and love from all that were there, and this session was such a true treasure.
Like most of my clients, Cat and Ralph are not your average couple. They are both very oriented with nature and met six years ago through cycling. They’ve been together for four years now, and although there’s a considerable age difference between the two, they couldn’t be any more PERFECT for each other. They are so in sync with one another and the world around them, it’s incredible. While both are nature enthusiast, they are also both passionate about the arts. Ralph is an amazing contemporary artist, and Cat manages his artwork/photography/web design/marketing/etc. Some of Ralph’s artwork and both of their beautiful personalities can be seen by visiting Ralph’s website. Cat also works at Music and Arts, which is a music instrument retail store, and Ralph is also a professor at Presbyterian College.
Their wedding took place at Craggy Gardens of Blue Ridge Parkway, and it was so incredibly gorgeous. The ceremony was absolutely stunning, and it had a very relaxed and fun atmosphere about it. Cat had a blue orchid bouquet, which I had never seen before, but oh, it was so pretty, and this sweet couple’s vows were so emotional and heart felt that they even had me tearing up. Friends came from all over, including one groomsmen, who was all the way from Hawaii. Everyone was so supportive and in love with these two; it was truly such a beautiful sight and amazing experience. The reception took place at Curate, which is my absolute favorite restaurant in Asheville, so I was so happy they invited me and my boyfriend to join them for the family-style-served dinner. While I hopped all around to capture special moments and speeches, I couldn’t help but feel all the love and excitement that was felt by all for this beautiful couple.

Being able to photograph this lovely wedding and wonderful family was such a blessing and honor. I couldn’t thank them enough for being so welcoming to us and making us feel like such a part of the group. How truly special it was to be the photographer for a family that was so kind and welcoming that I felt like just another member of the family. It was surely an experience I’ll cherish forever! I am so excited and happy for Jennifer and Ralph, and I wish them a
lifetime of love and happiness as husband and wife!
