Best of 2021 Elopements

Our Top Asheville Elopements of the Year

Today we’re reviewing our Best 2021 Elopements, and if you’re new to the idea of eloping, here’s the honest truth about it:

Eloping looks magical. You see breath-taking photos of couples marrying on mountains and wonder “is this is real life?”

Perhaps we are biased, but eloping really IS as amazing as it looks!

Eloping is a one of-a-kind experience filled with hiking, speaking vows in the vastness of nature, and having a First Dance on a mountaintop or under a waterfall.

Where eloping used to be kept secret, now it’s a way to create a more relaxed, less-drama filled day in an awe-inspiring setting.

Eloping also creates a treasured end product leaving you with authentic, beyond beautiful photos to share with everyone you love!

So grab a cup of coffee, matcha, or whatever you drink, and scroll through some of our favorite Asheville elopements from this past year.

Sunrise Celebration in the Sky

Couple Kisses on Mountain

When you wake up and hike to get married before the sun rises, you hope for a beautiful day, but Elizabeth & Bryant’s Blue Ridge Mountain elopement was over the top! The couple’s Black Balsam celebration started on a rocky mountain bald and commenced in the woods. So dreamy!

Intimate Cabin Ceremony + Hike

Julia and Hunter began their day with a First Look, Ceremony, and Cake Cutting at a private cabin. They made their way to Max Patch mountain to explore and take in the epic views.

Weaving Families Together

Tucked away on 9 acres in Hot Springs, Claire & Marissa wed on a gorgeous October day. It was here at a private vacation rental with a breathtaking backdrop where they celebrated with family, a top priority for their elopement.

Their vibrant, adventurous, and creative spirits shined as they weaved their families together.

Full Moon Magic

Getting married on a full moon comes with a built-in air of magic. Add in a full moon veil, a ceremony in an enchanted forest, and an adventure on a mountaintop, and it becomes legendary.

Hannah & Ben truly got the mystical mountain vibes going at the highest setting, and we loved it.

Under an Orange Sky

You know the kind of sunset where the light is changing almost too fast to keep up with?

This is what happened at Jenna and Justin’s Black Balsam elopement and we were beyond stoked to witness and capture it. Mother Nature was in rare form and their love was natural and easy.

Foggy Mountain Elopement

Abigayl and James looked ready for an adventure when they arrived at Roan Mountain – and they got it! The weather started with clear skies and slowly morphed into a misty evening, but the foggier it got, the prettier it became.

They both clearly didn’t let a little fog spoil their day. The result was incredibly romantic with the couple’s laughter offset by the moody backdrop.

The Hills are Alive

Dancing in circles and spinning on mountaintops – these ‘Sound of Music’ vibes are what Marielle & Charvis brought to the mountaintop.

What they got in return was a gorgeous sunset, 360 views, and memories to last a lifetime.

Whimsy Winter Day Celebration

Winter Weddings in the mountains are special. The foliage is gone, the trees are bare, and the views are more open.

Mel & Dave got to experience that in their Jump Off Rock elopement, speaking their vows with soft blue mountains in the distance.

Married on Her Birthday

This couple’s Black Balsam celebration came to life on the Bride’s Birthday.

MaKayla and Jimel celebrated love and life as big as you can; on a stunning mountain with family and friends! Combining personal celebrations with marriage only makes the day more epic!

On Top of the World

Summer in the mountains is idyllic. You get warm(er) temperatures, lovely greenery, and longer days that lead to stunning sunsets.

Samantha and Kyle soaked up the sun and all the mesmerizing views on top of Black Balsam Knob after an intimate woods ceremony where the light broke through the trees in that way that makes you stop and be thankful for the present.

Blissful Celebration with their Pup!

This is the sign you’ve been looking for to bring your dog along to your elopement! Just look at how cute this little guy is, and how relaxed and happy Tasia and Michael are when together celebrating as a family!

Between the fun they had, the deep connection they share, and the cutest pup ever, their photos are a good indication of a very blissful future together!
