Asheville Outdoor Elopement Photographer | Kaylin and Zach

I am so excited to share these images with you. Kaylin and Zach were a dream to work with and their outdoor family elopement completely fit our vision as photographers.

When asked how they got engaged, Kaylin tells the story of how she needed a weekend away. She planned a trip to Lake Toxaway, NC for just the day/night. They went hiking, cooked dinner, and set up a campfire. While sitting outside by the fire, Kaylin mentioned that she was just as committed as a girlfriend as she would be as a wife.

“I said something about how being engaged didn’t matter (I thought he was going to propose on my birthday week which was the following month so I had no idea he even had the ring at the time),” she said. Zach then stood up, flipped his chair, and said something about not being as committed as Kaylin was about to be.

“He got down on one knee and proposed!! I was so shocked! It was perfect and a BIG surprise!” They tied the knot at the Asheville Botanical Gardens. They had their family with them so the Botanical Gardens was a great option because there was no hiking involved and it’s such a beautiful setting close to Asheville.

We love mountaintop locations, but most require a hike and that is not suitable for all groups. We have lots of location options for all kinds of people. Everyone looked so gorgeous in their color coordinated outfits! Kaylin’s beautiful lace wedding gown was purchased from BHLDN. Their colorful pink bouquets were made by Flourish Flower Farm in Asheville.
