Kacy and Dayne are such kind-hearted, sweet people. When they asked me to be their Asheville Elopement photographer, I was immediately thrilled! What a beautiful time of the year to have such a special day. These two met in the 4th grade, and have been side-by-side ever since. They love going to concerts together, and in fact, Dayne proposed under the Bonaroo arch at the Bonaroo music festival. Kacy and Dayne are one of a kind, and such an amazing duo. I am so honored to have been able to capture their elopement.
Their Hearts Belonged in Asheville
I spoke with Kacy about eloping, and she explained that they originally planned to have a big wedding on April 14th, 2018. After getting started on the wedding planning, Kacy and Dayne realized that the stress of planning a wedding was just not worth it. So, as Kacy explained, “we decided to elope and randomly chose Asheville. We later found out that Asheville is where Dayne’s grandparents fell in love. They have since passed, but I think they led us to Asheville.” Her response made me gain a new perspective on Kacy and Dayne. Their love for each other was enough. They didn’t need a big wedding, all they needed was each other and a few of their loved ones. Not to mention, how special Asheville ended up being for these two.
We originally planned to have the ceremony with mountain views, but the Blue Ridge parkway was closed due to the weather. It didn’t stop the fun though, as we had a gorgeous snowy winter wonderland elopement at the Botanical Gardens. Kacy has such a classic, gorgeous look that was totally complimented by the small snowflakes that landed in her hair, falling in front of her face. Dayne was handsome himself, looking sleek and clean in the snow. The weather made for such a beautiful day!
I was able to provide the flowers, cake and champagne for the couple. The beautiful bouquet and flowers were provided by
Shady Grove, and were such compliment to this elopement! Congratulations to Kacy and Dayne! These two deserve the world!
How adorable are these two?! Being their Asheville Outdoor Elopement Photographer was such a sweet treat. Congrats to the happy couple!
