Oh happy day! It truly was a happy day for Laura and Will when they tied the knot here in our beautiful Asheville. Their first look was absolutely adorable. She tapped on his shoulder, he turned around and a smile instantly spread across his face. They made their way to the ceremony, where a select few of their closest family and friends were there, waiting to celebrate their momentous day.
A Beautiful Day to Get Married
When I asked what made them choose an Asheville elopement, Laura responded, “We chose Jump Off Rock because we wanted a location that took advantage of the natural beauty of the area and offers some amazing photo ops without being a traditional venue. I’m really excited to see him for the first time that day and to spend a few minutes alone with him before the ceremony. It will also be the first time our families meet, which is one of the reasons that I wanted to do a small, family only ceremony so that the two families would really get a chance to interact and share in the day together. We both really love the outdoors and the mountains, and we definitely wanted something away from DC. My grandmother lived in Hendersonville for most of my childhood, and William’s younger brother currently lives in Asheville, so it was a place that had family ties for both of us. Asheville was also our first road trip as a couple.”
Their elopement was held at Jump Off Rock, the perfect scenic overlook to enjoy all of the beauty that Asheville has to offer. Michael, our officiant, did a wonderful job (as he always does). After the ceremony, we captured a few family shots before I stole the bride and groom away for their bridal portraits.
We took full advantage of our scenic surroundings, enjoying this serene beauty that only nature can offer. I am so excited to see what the future holds for this sweet couple. Congratulations you two!
