Love looks so good on Chris and Jessica! These two have such an incredible love story, and I am so glad I was able to capture the beautiful moments of their elopement. It is not often that you meet people who are so fun and playful as these two. Their constant jokes and silliness made the day so much fun and easy to photograph. They truly bring the best out in each other, and it is so fun to see how happy they are when they are together.
You could call Chris and Jessica “middle school sweethearts,” because they have been a couple throughout middle and high school. Down the road, they went their separate ways, but eventually found each other again! Now… they are getting married and couldn’t be happier. The resiliency of their relationship is something that is definitely worth celebrating. It is not common for people to stay together after so many life changes, and it is beautiful that they were able to stay strong through thick and thin. When they were in middle school, Chris gave Jessica a bible. Now, they were able to write their vows in the same bible. I love how personal this is, and that bible that Jessica holds is something that they will cherish forever.
They wanted their big day to be small and intimate, focusing on the love that they share. Michael was their officiant, and Chris’ brother and sister in law came along with them to share the moment and to be witnesses. It was so sweet how supportive these folks were. As a part of their package, I provided the flowers from Flourish. We ended the day with cupcakes and a champagne toast. All in all, it was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and friendship!
The beauty of love being displayed in the beauty of nature like this day embodied is the reason I pour my heart into being an Asheville Mountaintop Elopement Photographer.
