Weddings are so much fun to plan when you’re looking forward to spending your life with the person you love. Often times people spend months, even years, planning the perfect event. Sometimes so much stock is put into the celebration that people lose sight of what’s really important. I love small, intimate weddings because it really puts it all in perspective.

A Perfect Match

Megan and Collin had the most intimate wedding possible- an elopement! This sweet couple met when a mutual friend introduced them. He always believed they were perfect for each other. They began dating in February, got engaged in October, and were married this fall. I’d say that friend of theirs was onto something! They really are the perfect match. Megan and Collin heard great things about Asheville and were excited to explore and say their vows atop a mountain with beautiful views. Megan paired a gold sequin top from Anthropologie. She paired it with a flowy white skirt from Nordstrom, while Collin wore a sleek black suit.

A Genuine Warmth

The ceremony was officiated by Barrett with Elope Outdoors, and was so emotional. There is such a genuine, warm feeling when you’re sharing that special moment just between the two of you. No guest lists to check off, no catering to worry about, and no distractions. Just husband and wife together, focusing on their love and commitment. It was truly a beautiful day for these soul mates, and I was honored to capture such sweet memories for them.

There is something so profound about ditching all the pressure to spend months scouring Pinterest and DIY’ing the perfect event, in exchange for a heartfelt elopement where it’s all about the two of you. I’m so excited for Megan and Collin, and I know these newlyweds are ecstatic for their future together as husband and wife.
