Elizabeth & Greg’s Asheville cabin elopement was absolutely gorgeous! When asked why they chose to get married here they said, “We love Asheville for it’s laid back, diverse vibe and for the amazing outdoors! Also, it is where we choose to call home.” I love that they didn’t need to travel thousands of miles away to get the look and feel they were going for. They chose The Watershed Resort at Bryson City for it’s scenic location and because it could accommodate their immediate family for an entire wedding celebration weekend. They emphasized that being outdoors for their elopement was extremely important to them both which made this venue an absolute no brainer.
About the venue
I love the diversity that I get to see when photographing weddings – from full ceremonies and receptions packages to small elopements packages. We get to work with our clients at several different types of locations! We often work at Air B&Bs and cabin rentals/vacation home rentals that are used as wedding venues. This is an excellent option for couples who want to include their familes, but not worry about shuttling people to a mountain location, or asking guests to hike. This way it is simple, and everything is in one place.
Elizabeth & Greg’s families rented cabins next door, and everyone was close by. They had the wedding evening catered and kept things super simple! They included lots of family and the cabin was filled with happy children.
