Aimee & Tyler’s magical mountaintop elopement

 

Aimee & Tyler had a gorgeous elopement with us on Max Patch Mountain in late July.  We picked up Aimee’s stunning bouquet and Tyler’s boutonniere from Flora. The bouquet was absolutely perfect, and the pink peonies really made the photos pop!  We had a beautiful custom ceremony with the mountain background, performed by Nick McDonald.  Afterwards, we hiked up to the bald, where Aimee & Tyler enjoyed champagne and homemade apple & peach pie by the amazing Whisk.  They danced as the sunset behind them, and it was just magic!

Here is a little about Aimee & Tyler:  I was a divorced mom of two and had been hanging out with some friends of mine. One of my friend’s had her boyfriend, Stephen, with her and they were all joking about finding me a guy. I told them that all I wanted was someone to just be able to hang out and have a good time with. So, Stephen, (that day was the first day I had met him) said, ” I need to introduce you to some of my friends.” I remember thinking, yeah ok…. Like that will ever happen. Well, lo’ and behold, the next day we had a get together and Stephen did bring one of his friends along to introduce me to. In walks this tall, dark haired, good looking guy, and I thought dang, Stephen did pretty good. Haha. Tyler and I started talking that evening and have been together ever since! That was almost five years ago. Since then we have grown closer together with each other and my children love him dearly. We have gone through our fair share of hard times in that time period. (His mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer not quite a year after we met and she passed away a year and a half after that.) It has been almost 5 years that we are together and we both already felt like an old married couple. 😉

It was not hard for us to make the decision to elope. Tyler is an old soul and neither one us like to be the center of attention. We wanted a stress free day that was just about us, without having to worry about the other things that come along with a big wedding. Neither one of us really wanted a beach wedding and I like to be different so an outdoor ceremony on a mountain side sounded amazing! I had done a lot of research on where to have our wedding and I looked at places in multiple states. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or special ceremony than what they arranged for us. It was everything I was hoping it would be and more! Everyone that was a part of our day was extremely kind and down to earth. We are so grateful for everything ya’ll did!!
