As elopement photographers, we love elopements of all kinds, and we’ve seen a little bit of everything over the years. But we have to admit that there’s something special about “real” elopements – just the couple together celebrating their love – that completely melts out hears. Elizabeth and Josh’s eloped in a secluded meadow in Asheville, and it was even more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!
These two had amazing vibes and are so welcoming and personable. They both have such an organic joy about them, you just feel drawn to them! Julia (the officiant) and I just loved working with them. We’re sure going to miss them now that it’s over, but we are both so excited for the journey they are embarking on as newlyweds. We know they will find beauty in the adventure wherever they go!
For their elopement, they found a special pasture just before Julia and I arrived. Elizabeth and Josh’s spontaneity and curiosity were contagious, so we were all in for a new location and an adventure with them!
Bright yellow blooms filled this peaceful meadow, and we had it all to ourselves – amazing! Going where their hearts led them, they settled on a place to exchange vows. They both brought along handwritten vows that made all four of us tear up a little. They were so sweet, and I loved capturing their raw emotions in that moment.
We love Elizabeth’s cool blue out-of-the-box wedding dress! She looked absolutely lovely in it, and was the perfect pop of color with all of the yellow and green in the background. He wore a handsome dark blue suit to match.
It is so fun to see couples’ unique personalities in the details, especially when they go “against the grain” – that’s what we live for! After the ceremony, we had a fun photo session laying in the meadow and then off to the mountain top for some more photos! Overall, it was an amazing elopement that will go down as one of our favorites!
Congratulations, Elizabeth and Josh!
