This is one of the sweetest, most heart-warming elopement sessions I’ve done in a while. Brittany and Jamie have such an incredible journey that makes up their beautiful love story. They traveled from Florida for a mountainside elopement in North Carolina, accompanied by their handsome son, Bryant. They’ve been together for nine years now and felt that it was the perfect time to say, “I do!”
When asked why they chose Asheville for their wedding, they both exclaimed, “It’s so beautiful there!” They both wanted a scenic spot out in nature. The only details needed for their ceremony were the one’s nature could provide, and the incredible backdrop of Max Patch is incomparable. The Blue Ridge Mountains create layers of color. The open field lets you see out as far as the eye can see. I personally think that nature has a way of really showcasing the essence of a couple.
Before we headed out, I saw that there was rain in the forecast, so we did our best to prepare for that. But as luck—or the magic of the day—would have it, the weather couldn’t have been better. Their son Bryant is quite the photogenic model, and we got some great family photos out there, too! I loved capturing the close bond between the three of them.
Of course, we did lots of bridals and couple’s photos, too. Brittany was such a radiant bride in her lace wedding gown on top of the mountain like a crown jewel. Her gorgeous bouquet held an eclectic arrangement of pale flowers and really popped against the darker colors of the trees, highlighting Brittany’s bridal beauty even more. And it was easy to see by the look on Jamie’s face that he was enthralled, too!
I had so much fun capturing this special day for you, Brittany and Jamie. I wish you many more years of mountain views together!
