Kayla and Chris are two of the most amazing people ever! My time spent with them was nothing short of amazing, and I am so excited to share their elopement with you all! These two have an amazing love story, and had the perfect day together in gorgeous April snow.
After Kayla and Chris got engaged, they had a big wedding planned. They initially wanted it all – many guests, a beautiful venue, lots of food. However, they ended up changing those plans last minute when things got too stressful and overwhelming. Planning those nitty gritty details turned out to be the opposite of what they wanted. The couple decided to spend their time focusing on the love that they share, rather than spend all of their days planning an extravagant day. They drove up to Asheville from Louisiana, to get away and elope just the two of them, on their terms. They found Elope Outdoors and thought it was exactly what they needed!
We planned to go on a mountaintop off the parkway, but we had an out of season April snow and the parkway closed suddenly. We ended up doing the ceremony ON the actually parkway! It was safe because the gates were closed, so no cars were on the road, it was great! I love how when things don’t go as planned, Kayla and Chris are able to go with the flow and focus on the positives. All they needed was each other, and what a beautiful attitude to have when celebrating love.
We had a lot of laughs and they shed their previous wedding expectations and got down to basics. Kayla even decided to take off her diamond necklace and her high heels, as she felt more comfortable and relaxed just being her. It was amazing to be a part of! To end the day, we had cake & bubbly to celebrate!

We love to help couples make their intimate wedding dreams come true! Chris and Kayla will never forget this day and I was honored to be their Blue Ridge Parkway Elopement Photographer!
