Luxury Albums & Photo Books

Hello! I’m Meghan, and I am thrilled to be designing your photo book or luxury album. Designing these keepsakes brings me immense joy, especially knowing that couples are treating themselves to such a precious heirloom.

Let’s delve into the world of Luxury Albums and Photo Books to help you choose the perfect option for you.

Differences between Albums & Books

The primary difference between the two lies in the materials and craftsmanship. Luxury albums are made with premium materials and handcrafted details, while photo books have a simpler construction, requiring fewer materials. Albums are presented in an elegant graphite box, adding an extra touch of sophistication, whereas photo books do not include a box.

Another key distinction is the type of photo paper used, which we will explore in more detail further down.

Luxury Albums & Photobooks Size Options

Our Luxury Albums and Photobooks come in a variety of sizes to suit your preferences. We offer traditional square shapes in 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12, as well as rectangular shapes in 10×8 and 12×8.

Personally, I prefer the square shape for its versatile design potential. It allows for a more cohesive layout, and when using a horizontal photo across the spread (two pages), it fits perfectly without cutting off any part of the image. Rectangular albums, on the other hand, may crop portions of the top or bottom, which can sometimes be less ideal for certain photos.

Regarding size, each option has its own appeal. The 10×10 size is my favorite for elopements, offering a balanced presentation. The 8×8 size is slightly smaller, which means the photos will be smaller as well. The 12×12 size is excellent for a grand display; in fact, it’s what I chose for my own wedding. However, it may be a bit large for a coffee table if you plan to keep it on display. If you are getting the Evergreen package, you will receive a 10×10 album.

Each book or album includes 30 pages, and we recommend selecting around 40-50 images to fill them. If you find it difficult to narrow down your choices, we can always add more pages. We can provide a quote based on the specific size of your book or album.

To choose your photos, simply “favorite” (star) the ones you want included in your online gallery and let us know when you’re finished selecting. I will then use those photos to design a proof, which you will review and approve before the order is finalized. You can make comments and request changes if needed. I may also suggest adjustments if certain photos don’t fit well with the design, and we can discuss adding pages if necessary.

Cover options

For our Luxury Albums, you have a wide array of cover choices, including 10 elegant linen fabrics, 13 genuine leather options, and 4 unique distressed leather selections.

For our Photo Books, the selection is more limited, offering 3 beautiful linen options and 4 classic leather options.

Debossing

Debossing involves stamping letters and numbers onto the front cover of your album. Many couples opt for their names on the first line and the wedding date on the second line, but you have the freedom to personalize it however you wish! You can use up to three lines, with a limit of 28 characters per line.

You can choose from five elegant fonts: Baskerville, Coco Gothic, Dessau Pro, Eye Catching, and Garage Gothic.

Additionally, there are nine color options available: Blind (no color), Black, Copper, Gold, Matte Gold, Granite, Silver, Matte Silver, and White.

Photo Paper

One of the most significant distinctions between the Luxury Albums & Photo books are the photo paper used. Luxury albums feature high-quality photo paper that offers superior color accuracy, richer saturation, and a more substantial feel, ensuring your memories are preserved with the utmost clarity and vibrancy. Photo books, while still of excellent quality, use simpler press paper that provides a different tactile experience. This contrast in photo paper quality truly sets luxury albums apart as a higher quality product.  Although, either option makes a worthwhile investment for preserving your most cherished moments!

I sincerely hope you choose to add a Luxury Album or Photo Book to your elopement package if it’s not already included. This beautiful heirloom is the perfect way to preserve your wedding day, making your memories tangible and allowing you to share them with your friends and family.

As the years go by, these heirlooms become even more valuable, and you will find yourself increasingly grateful for the investment you made in a wedding day album.
